Falcon Cement
Falcon Cement
Vertua is a PPC cement produced by grinding clinker, natural pozzolana, and minor additional constituents. It falls under Strength Class 42.5 N (CEM II/A-P) according to BS EN 197-1:2011 standards. With reliable strength, durability, and broad versatility, it is widely used in various construction applications.
Produced at the Cemex Falcon LLC plant, Vertua Cement is manufactured under a certified ISO 9001 quality management system and in line with Cemex’s global standards. The product is rigorously tested at Cemex’s state-of-the-art laboratory to ensure consistent quality and reliable performance.

Concrete Applications
01. Batching & Mixing
Batching and mixing of mortar and concrete shall be carried out according to a predetermined mix design. The proportioning of all constituents should be measured either by weight or by volume. Ready-mixed or plant-mixed concrete is generally designed by weight, while site-mixed or manually prepared batches are typically measured by volume. This ensures consistent quality, uniform performance, and compliance with project specifications under controlled conditions.
02. Placing
Concrete shall be placed in its final position before the initial setting begins and should not be disturbed once it has started to set. During construction, it is poured into forms and consolidated by means of vibration or compaction.Proper compaction eliminates voids and air pockets, ensuring dense, durable concrete around reinforcement and embedded materials, while preventing honeycombing and segregation.
03. Finishing
To achieve a smooth and durable surface, finishing operations must be carefully planned and timed according to weather conditions and the concrete’s setting process. Standard procedures should be followed using proper tools and equipment. The type of finish, whether troweled, brushed, or textured, depends on the specific application and desired appearance, ensuring an even, consistent, and high-quality final surface.
04. Curing
Proper curing is essential to develop the required strength and durability of the concrete. It maintains moisture and temperature levels necessary for hydration and long-term performance. Standard practice recommends a minimum of seven days of continuous curing. This may be achieved by water sprinkling, covering with wet burlap or polyethylene sheets, or applying curing compounds and other moisture-retaining methods.
STORAGE & HANDLING
Vertua Cement should be stored in airtight, waterproof silos or containers that fully protect the material from moisture and contamination. Handling operations must prevent spillage or exposure to humidity. During transportation and delivery, ensure that bulk tankers are clean, dry, and properly sealed to preserve the cement’s integrity and maintain quality.
