CEMEX Contributes to Texas Relief Effort
CEMEX, S.A.B. de C.V. (“CEMEX”) (NYSE: CX) announced today a total US$500,000 donation for employee and community relief efforts in Texas, U.S.A., after the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey.
CEMEX USA has a strong operational and commercial presence in the Greater Houston area, where it is also headquartered. A rapid response effort to provide aid to affected employees and their families has been launched. Fortunately, all CEMEX employees are safe.
CEMEX also established a fund to receive voluntary donations from its personnel worldwide to help affected colleagues. Total funds contributed will be matched by the company.
