In its continuing efforts to foster companywide health awareness, CEMEX organised a series of three free eye check-up camps for its employees. In coordination with MAX Vision LLC, employees were given a chance to have their eyes checked for refractive errors, color vision deficiency, and others. The employees were also provided prescription glasses at discounted prices and free frames with purchase of any type of anti-reflection lenses. The initiative has screened a total of 245 employees in all sites and almost half of them were found to have some refractive errors.
“Maintaining good eye health for our employees is very important to us especially with our truck drivers who are constantly on the road. We have screened 120 employees in our sites in Al Quoz, 50 in Abu Dhabi and 75 in Jebel Ali through this initiative. And we are confident that this would help our employees to become more aware of the importance of preventive eye care” said by Ana Tongco, Human Resource Director in CEMEX UAE.
At CEMEX, we are committed to build awareness of health issues and to encourage employees to undertake preventive health care to ultimately, create a healthier culture within our company.
