CEMEX UAE with Dubai Health Authority Hosted a Blood Donation Campaign

CEMEX UAE successfully hosted its first organized blood donation campaign in collaboration with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) on Thursday, 2nd of June 2016. A fully equipped mobile blood donation unit arrived from DHA along with a team of medical professionals.The half-day donation campaign has attracted  44 members of staff at CEMEX's office in Jebel Ali, Dubai.

Ms. Ana de Ramos Tongco, Human Resources Director said “I thank Dubai Health Authority for extending their support during  the blood donation campaign, as part of our CSR agenda, is of high significance for CEMEX UAE .I am overwhelmed by the good response received from all our employees and I thank them for making the campaign successful.”

CEMEX is committed to supporting local communities in which it operates by implementing high-impact social strategy to empower communities.

The blood collected will be used for Thalassemia patients, road accidents and burn victims, patients with neonates and maternity health complications, cases diagnosed with cancer or scheduled for open heart operations as well as to all private health facilities within Dubai that are entitled for transfusion services.
